A thought leader leads thoughts. They shift the way people think.
You can’t do that with how-to content.
A thought leader takes a stand.
BUT.
A thought leader also has to be trustworthy.
You think everyone should work a 20-hour week and get paid twice as much? Cool. Show me how the math maths.
A hot take is just hot air unless you can back it up.
People look to thought leaders to lead. They are the ones who see a better future — and how to get to it.
If you’re really good at pointing out problems, but not so great at proposing realistic solutions, you’re not ready for the title yet.
You need to spend some more time developing your own thoughts and ideas first.
When you’re passionate about a better way, and you can see a path that could at least plausibly get there, then, my friend. Then tell everyone.
